UPDATE (3:08 p.m.) — The Santa Maria Police Department is searching for the person involved in a stabbing Sunday morning.
According to a news release from the police department, officers responded to a report of a stabbing at approximately 7 a.m. in the area of South Lincoln Street and West Battles Road.
Once officers arrived, officials said they found the victim of the stabbing with non-life-threatening injuries.
After police received a description of the person involved in the stabbing, officers later found that person's vehicle parked along the 900 block of West Morrison Avenue, according to police.
Santa Maria police contacted several people associated with the parked vehicle but were unable to locate the person involved in the stabbing, said officials.
The victim of the stabbing is at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for medical treatment, according to the release.
Officers said the person remains at large and the investigation is ongoing.

One person was airlifted by Calstar to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital for injuries.
