UPDATE: Santa Maria police say the teen and her baby were located safely Wednesday evening in San Miguel. Investigators say Jaime Ponce, 30, the alleged father of the child, was not with them and the investigation into the relation between the teen and Ponce is ongoing.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Santa Maria Police Department is seeking assistance in finding a missing teen and her baby.
Police say Elena Garcia, 17, and her six-month-old daughter were last seen on Sunday night, Aug. 23 on the 1500 Blk. of S. Wallis.
Police are told Garcia and her child may be in the company of Jaime Ponce ,30, the alleged father of the child. Elena is described as Hispanic, 4'11", approx. 110 lbs., brown hair, brown eyes.
