The Santa Maria Police Department is asking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a string of armed robberies.
Police say the investigation involves several liquor stores over the course of a two-month period.
The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, possibly in his mid to late 30's, medium build, armed with a handgun.
Police say that on multiple occasions, the suspect entered the liquor stores and pointed a handgun at the clerk, demanding money. The suspect was then able to get away with an undisclosed amount of money.
On Wed, Oct. 28 the suspect is believed to have robbed three businesses throughout the city in a short period of time.
An investigation is underway, and police ask that the public to not approach or contact the suspect if seen, but instead call 911.
