People who shop in Santa Maria have a chance to win back some of the money they spend.
The Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce's "Shop on Us!" campaign will reimburse a select number of shoppers up to $200.
To participate, text, email or mail your receipts to the Chamber of Commerce. The receipts must total at least $50, be dated between November 28 and December 21, and be from businesses located in the Santa Maria Valley.
All receipts must be received by December 21. Winners will be drawn randomly and announced on Facebook Live during the week of the 21st.
Multiple winners will be selected, though the exact number hasn't yet been decided, and you can enter multiple times for more chances to win.
The Chamber hopes the contest will encourage people to shop locally.
"We really encourage people to be out there to support these local businesses," said Molly Schiff, Santa Maria Valley Chamber of Commerce Marketing and Communications Manager. "People sometimes think that their small purchase may not make a difference but for our local businesses, it makes a huge difference and they really need our support right now."
