Santa Maria teens are invited to a two-week-long pop-up event full of free fun and games.

The city is hosting a "Winter Break Teen Pop-up" at the Minami Community Center this week.

Activities include arts and crafts, kickball, basketball, soccer, bubble soccer, dodge ball, Nerf Blaster battles and an open gym.

“We're only open for two weeks, so definitely time is ticking. If teens are looking for something to do during their winter break, we'll definitely be here awaiting their participation,” said David Rodriguez with the Santa Maria Recreation and Parks Department.

This was the first day and it was a little quiet, but the pop-up will continue to be open from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. every day through January 10, except New Year's Day.

It's free for students in the 7th through 12th grades.
