Santa Barbara police arrested a suspected DUI driver on Monday night while they were investigating a shooting.
Police say they were called to the intersection of Arrellaga and Castillo streets at about 9:10 p.m. for a report of shots fired.
Officers found evidence of a shooting but no injuries were reported.
As officers investigated the scene, police say a DUI driver speeding south on Castillo Street hit a parked patrol vehicle and broadsided another police vehicle.
Officers arrested Jacob Milem on suspicion of DUI.
Both police vehicles were reportedly unoccupied at the time of the collision.
