The Lompoc Police Department says they will continue to search for 94-year-old Donald Bishop.
Police say they searched for Bishop, who went missing at around 1 p.m. on Thursday, for 8 hours Friday and 8 hours again on Saturday.
LPD says they will be back out tomorrow searching for Bishop in the area where he was last seen.
In a statement released Saturday evening, patrol officers said they got tips from citizens saying they might have seen Bishop, however, those sightings turned out to be a different person.
LPD spoke with Bishop's family to try and get more information. Patrol officers canvased the riverbed with an off-road vehicle and walked multiple trails Saturday.
Bishop usually walks around his house on Laurel Ave., as well as River Park and Beattie Park.
Police say Bishop is forgetful and has been known to fall down while on his walks.
He was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark brown shoes, and a white shirt with red suspenders.
Anyone with information about Bishop's whereabouts is encouraged to call the Lompoc Police Department at (805) 736-2341.
