Wednesday was National Walk to School Day and several students on the Central Coast celebrated by taking a stroll to class.
In Santa Barbara County 23 schools participated in the event, and 21 schools signed up to participate in San Luis Obispo County.
Several law enforcement agencies were out in full force making sure kids were safe as they walked to school, including the California Highway Patrol Coastal Commission.
