ORIGINAL STORY: At approximately 9:05 p.m. on Monday, Lompoc Police Department received reports of shots fired in an alley near North N Street and O Street.
While officers were responding, LPD received another report that one subject was shot at that location.
Lompoc Police then located the victim and identified him as a 17 year old Hispanic male. According to LPD, he was shot one time.
The victim was transported to a local trauma center, where he is in critical, but stable condition.
The shooting is believed to be gang related.
