A shooting investigation believed to be gang-related led to a high-speed pursuit in Lompoc Friday afternoon.

Lompoc police say several reports of shots fired came in at 3:40 p.m. for the 600 block of N. 4th Street.

Police responded and found evidence of a shooting near apartments in the area but say so far, they are not aware of any victims.

A short time later, police say they spotted a vehicle matching the suspect vehicle description. A pursuit took place within city limits, but the driver got away, according to police.

A Lompoc Police Department Sergeant says the suspects are known to police and they believe the shooting is gang-related.
