UPDATE: Teen injured in Lompoc shooting

UPDATE (8:45 p.m.) - Lompoc police say a teen was shot in the city Monday.

Officers arrived to the 500 block of the North L/M alley at about 3:30 p.m. to reports of the shooting and discovered the victim, a teen, had already been taken to the ER by a family member, police said.

The teen was then taken by helicopter to another hospital and at last check was in what police described as "stable" condition.

Officers are working to get statements and gather evidence to aid in the investigation.

No arrests have been made.


ORIGINAL STORY: Police are investigating a shooting in Lompoc that happened Monday evening.

It reportedly happened at around 3:30 p.m. on the 500 block in an alley of L and M streets.

Police say one person has been injured in the shooting.

The extent of the victims injuries have not been released.

Police are on scene investigating.
