UPDATE (1:43 p.m.) - Police say Thursday's shooting in Lompoc is the ninth in the city so far this year.
Police responded to the area around 10:45 a.m. near East Airport Avenue and North D Street following reports of shots fired.
Officers say they located evidence on the ground of a shooting nearby and found the victim, 18, two block away.
It's not known at this time whether the shooting was gang related.
Anyone who witnessed the shooting or has any information is asked to call Lompoc police.

ORIGINAL STORY: An 18-year-old was injured in a shooting Thursday in Lompoc.
It happened around 10:45 a.m. on the 700 block of North D Street.
Lompoc police tell KSBY News an 18-year-old was shot in the leg and flown to the hospital to be treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Police say they do have a person-of-interest who was seen leaving the area. No word on whether any arrests have been made.
Police say Thursday's shooting was the second known shooting in the city since a string of shootings around Jan. 20.
