ORIGINAL STORY: A shooting investigation is underway in Santa Maria.
Santa Maria police tell KSBY the shooting was first reported shortly after 9 a.m. Friday.
At around 1:41 p.m., Santa Maria police were asking people to avoid the 500 block of E. El Camino as streets were closed in the area.
By 2 p.m., there was a heavy police presence, including a police K9 and a drone being utilized overhead.
