On Saturday, six residents graduated from the Marian Family Medicine Residency Program.

The graduation was held via Zoom in order to adhere to social distancing guidelines.

The six graduates are:
· Tania Sharvan Bhatia, DO
· Kathleen Anne Coquia, DO
· Elizabeth Anne Finken, DO
· Rachel Margret Greatwood, DO
· Isaiah James Coupland Roggow, MD
· Nicolas Asher Walton, DO

The family medicine residency program is one of two residencies offered at Marian Regional Medical Center.

"Our original mission was to supply quality family physicians to the community and we strive every year to do that. Historically about 70 percent of our graduates have remained in the area as physicians. It's an extraordinarily interesting time scientifically and academically because with the novel virus, we're learning something new every day; this will prepare the residents for when the next inevitable crisis hits," said Dr. Chuck Merrill, Chief Medical Officer of Marian Regional Medical Center.
