SLO airport announces safety modifications ahead of Thanksgiving

Posted at 12:43 PM, Nov 24, 2020

Many Americans are taking to the skies this week for the Thanksgiving holiday.

The San Luis Obispo County Regional Airport is open, but with safety modifications in place.

So far, the airport has installed social distance markers, plexiglass windows, restricted seating and hand-sanitizer stations.

The café is only open for grab-and-go items. Food can be eaten outside.

If you’re picking someone up at the airport, airport officials say stay in your car or greet them on the curb.

If in-terminal assistance is necessary, then just send one family member inside.

The airport asks anyone feeling sick to not travel.
