The San Luis Obispo Children's Museum is opening its long anticipated 'Mission to Mars' exhibit this month to mark the museum's 30th anniversary.
The exhibit will feature a capsule, mission control and Martian habitat.
It will even put visiting kids in control of a realistic launch and exploration scenario.
The goal of the exhibit is to encourage kids to explore science and technology.
All San Luis Obispo County elementary schools will be given the opportunity to bring students to the exhibit.
Invitations for field trips will be sent to schools in the spring, with kickoff planned for fall 2020.
