The San Luis Obispo City Council on Tuesday night voted 4-0 to approve a ban on the sale of e-cigarette products.
The ban will go into effect 90 days after the second reading of the ordinance, which is planned for February. It includes the sales of all e-cigarette products, including flavored vape products.
Any products approved by the FDA would not be subject to the ban.
The City of San Luis Obispo joins Arroyo Grande and the county in banning the sales of all e-cigarette products.
(This article has been corrected to reflect that the approved ordinance prohibits the sale of e-cigarette products.)
