The Dallidet Gardens, part of the San Luis Obispo County History Center, hosted a take-out drive-thru Sunday.

They sold a soup sampler in a sack, using vegetables from their gardens, for $50 each with funds benefiting the garden.

Soup flavors included garden tomato bisque and roasted squash.

A committee member says they made 75 bags and sold out by the end of the day.

"We really do want to thank the community of San Luis Obispo for coming out and picking up their soup bags and giving a little bit of the Dallidet and enjoying our beautiful gardens even though it's through a fence," Debbi Collins, Dalliden Gardens committee member said.

There are no set plans for the future, but Collins said this drive-thru was a start and let them know small events are possible in a safe way.
