The SLO County LGBTQ+ Mental Health Equity Task Force is hosting a town hall to discuss mental health needs for LGBTQ+ individuals in the county.
Organizers want to create a space for the community to explore solutions and connect with local resources.
The event will be held on zoom Thursday from 6 to 7 p.m.
During that hour, community members will hear from Dr. Jay Bettergarcia who will speak about a months long research project aimed at identifying specific mental health and wellness needs for the local LGBTQ+ community.
Another important topic they will discuss is the barriers to mental health in SLO County.
