The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office is warning the public about an unauthorized website for placing online commissary orders for inmates in the county jail.
Sheriff's officials say the address of the unauthorized site is very similar to the real one.
The official website to purchase items for delivery to inmates at the county jail is shop.icaregifts.com.
The unauthorized website is icaregiftsonline.net.
The sheriff's office says the public can also order items for inmates by going directly to the slosheriff.org, clicking on the "Who Is In Custody" icon, typing in the name of an inmate, and clicking on "Order commissary items for this inmate."
