San Luis Obispo County emergency service officials are testing out the Early Warning System sirens on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Each of the 131 sirens from Cayucos to Nipomo will be activated individually for a few seconds at a time.
The sirens can be used during local emergencies like a tsunami or dam failure
