In a statement on Wednesday, the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office announced the seizure of several narcotics allegedly in possession of a suspected drug dealer.
The Sheriff's Office says the arrest took place on Thursday, Feb. 4 in Atascadero. Detectives got a tip that a car belonging to an alleged drug dealer was parked at a hotel in the 6800 block of El Camino Real.
The suspect is being identified as 45-year-old Christopher Rafael Burrell of Atascadero.
According to the Sheriff's Office, detectives followed Burrell as he drove away from the hotel and stopped him for a driving infraction. As a result of his prior arrest, Burrell was subject to search and seizure terms.
Detectives searched Burrell's room and found several drugs including methamphematine and heroin allegedly packaged for sale. The drugs were worth more than $10,000 combined. The Sheriff's Office says more than $1,000 in cash was confiscated from his car.
Burrell was arrested and booked on several drug-related charges and committing a felony while out on bail.
