A local parent participation program held a final in-person rendezvous this week.
Staff with the Adult School at San Luis Coastal Unified School District organized the event while keeping social distancing measures in place.
Thursday was the last day of the Parent Participation Program, where adults learn new parenting techniques and child development.
They offer classes for parents with newborns and toddlers.
Thursday, teachers dressed up in western attire and shared a special ‘thank you’ care package.
"We wanted to do something special instead of just saying goodbye on the Zoom thing, so we just came up with this idea,” said parent educator Julie Martin.
Parent Annie Pedersen said, “I thought it was nice that they found a way to have one last in-person event."
The parent participation program also offers preschool classes and core classes for kids of all ages.
