SLO police searching for suspect involved in Rite Aid robbery

The San Luis Obispo Police Department is searching for a suspect connected to a reported robbery at Rite Aid Saturday night.

In a press release sent to KSBY News, San Luis Obispo police say officers responded to a report of a robbery that had just occurred at Rite Aid on Johnson Avenue at approximately 10 p.m.

According to police, the suspect entered the store and showed a firearm in his waistband to a clerk at the register. Afterwards, police say the suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of cash.

Officers describe the suspect as a 25-year-old Hispanic male standing at 5'10" tall with a medium build. The suspect wore a green hooded sweatshirt with yellow/gold colored writing on the front, black pants, black hat and a white "N-95" type mask.

Police say the suspect was last seen fleeing the area on foot towards Marsh Street. Officers say they searched the area, but were unable to find the suspect.
