Businesses in the Village of Arroyo Grande are getting ready for a holiday season like no other.
Since the start of the pandemic, many business and restaurant owners in the Village say they've had to adapt to closures, slower traffic and lost income.
Small shops are now gearing up for Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Christmas shoppers.
Carol Wilkerson owns Carol's Gifts and Jewelry.
On top of business woes, Wilkerson says she's also battling cancer, but still enjoys going to work to see her customers.
"I have a lot of regulars from out of state, up and down the state, a few from out of the country, and locals, of course, so that helps, but it's slower than normal," Wilkerson said.
"I know we'll be busier as we get closer to Thanksgivng, Black Friday, and Shop Small Saturday, which are our really big days for us, or big weekend. We're looking forward to bringing it on," said Tracy Sonny, owner of The Hive.
