A 2.6 magnitude earthquake was recorded about 6 miles northeast of Cayucos on Tuesday evening.
The tremor occurred at 6:27 p.m.
A few people reported light shaking, according to the U.S. Geological Survey website.
The quake was followed by two 2.0 magnitude aftershocks.
