A small vegetation fire was reported in northern San Luis Obispo County Monday afternoon.
It reportedly broke out shortly after 5 p.m. on eastbound Highway 46 in front of Jack Ranch Café in Shandon.
Flames had spread to trees as of 5:10 p.m. and traffic was backing up in the area, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The fire burned approximately two acres before forward progress was stopped.
Drivers are told to use caution if heading through the area.
