UPDATE (6 p.m.) - Atascadero firefighters say the fire broke out in a workshop that was being used for gunsmithing and ammunition storage.
It reportedly took firefighters an hour-and-15 minutes to contain the fire. No other property was damaged and no injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.

(9:11 a.m.) - Firefighters were working to contain a structure fire in Atascadero Wednesday morning.
Atascadero Fire & Emergency Services says the fire in a 1,000 square-foot outbuilding on the 8500 block of Coromar Ave. was creating quite a bit of smoke, which could be seen from Highway 101.
Crews remained on scene as of 8 a.m.
No word on the cause.
