CAL FIRE crews are conducting a prescribed burn on ranch property off Highway 166 northeast of Santa Maria on Tuesday.
Fire officials say the 300-acre burn is being conducted to reduce potential fuel for wildfires.
Burning is expected to conclude by 6 p.m.
