Solo vehicle collision leads to vegetation fire off Hwy 46 East

UPDATE (12:06 a.m.): CAL FIRE officials say forward progress of the fire has stopped. The fire burned one quarter acre.
ORIGINAL STORY: CAL FIRE SLO is currently responding to a vehicle fire on Highway 46 East and McMillan Canyon Road.

CAL FIRE officials say the call came in as a solo vehicle accident before the car was engulfed in flames.

Everyone inside the car was able to get out before the fire started, according to officials.

The fire has burned one quarter acre of vegetation. No structures are threatened at this time.
