Paso Robles Fire and Emergency Services responded to reports of a vegetation fire Wednesday evening.
The fire broke out at around 4:45 p.m. along Highway 101 southbound near the North Spring Street exit.
Forward progress of the fire has been stopped. Fire officials say the North Spring Street exit is closed as crews work to mop up the area,
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route if traveling in the area,
