SpaceX successfully launched a Falcon 9 rocket on Friday evening.
The rocket launched just before 10 p.m. from Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Officials say the mission was in support of the Department of Defense.
It delivered 24 new communications satellites to low Earth orbit.
The first-stage booster touched back down on a drone ship in the Pacific Ocean.
