Spring semesters at Cuesta and Allan Hancock colleges kicks off Tuesday.

Once again, the majority of classes are being done online due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Allan Hancock says approximately 8,250 students are currently enrolled.

The only in-person courses are labs taking places in Career Technical Education areas and Public Safety Training Center programs.

At Cuesta, 8,090 students are currently enrolled and 92 percent of lecture classes are being doing entirely online.

Cuesta officials say the other 8 percent of "difficult-to-convert courses with labs or in-person meetings are held on campus with strict safety protocols."
