Starbucks, Grocery Outlet, True Value Hardware and Planet Fitness are just some of the new stores going into the Oak Park Shopping Center in Arroyo Grande where Kmart was once located.

Work on the foundation for Starbucks, which will include a drive-thru, is taking place place, according to a contractor on the project. It's unclear whether the Starbucks in the nearby Five Cities Center would move into the new space.

A sign is also up in the center for Planet Fitness.

The company's marketing director says they plan to open a 24-hour facility in early March at 1576 W. Branch St.

It will reportedly include cardio and strength equipment, free fitness training, a 30-minute express circuit, locker rooms, showers, HydroMassage loungers, tanning beds and more.

Pre-opening offers, which include $1 down and $10 a month or $1 down and $19.99 a month, are available for a limited time at 1538 W. Branch Street.

Planet Fitness currently has locations in Paso Robles, Arroyo Grande, Santa Maria and Lompoc.

A Grocery outlet, owned by Michael and Haley Testa, is also scheduled to open this year along with True Value Hardware.
