Two dogs also reportedly died in the fire.

UPDATE (6:27 a.m.) - Fire crews remained on site into Tuesday morning mopping up the house fire.
Emergency responders received a call about the house fire at 1:42 a.m., officials say. Firefighters were dispatched and arrived at the home within 8 minutes of the call.
The fire was already burning both floors of the home when the first unit arrived.
Fire crews contained the fire by about 2:49 a.m.
Three people were in the home when the fire broke out, firefighters say.
Two residents in the home were taken to Marian Regional Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
One resident was killed by the fire on the second floor of the home. Two dogs in the home also died in the fire.
Multiple fire crews responded to the blaze, including CAL FIRE SLO, Five Cities Fire Authority and Santa Maria Fire.
The San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's Office and an ambulance were on site of the fire as crews mopped up.
Two utility companies, PG&E and SoCalGas, were also on scene.
An investigator arrived at the home to determine the fire's cause.

(5:41 a.m.) - Reported early Tuesday morning, a structure fire in Nipomo left two injured and one deceased.
The flames had well engulfed the two-story home by the time firefighters arrived on the scene.
The two injured survivors are being transported to a hospital for treatment.
