On Saturday, a group of community members in Santa Maria rallied to show their support for President Trump.

A group called "New California Central Coast" organized the rally, that took place at the corner of Betteravia and South Bradley Roads.

Attendees wore red, white and blue and held up U.S. flags and signs that read "President Trump 2020" and "We support new California."

"We're here to support our president, we're here to support our military, we're here to support our local law enforcement and all law enforcement across our country," said Santa Maria resident, Lori Sexty.

"Almost everybody here is conservative and we just feel that no one's listening to us," said rally organizer, Dianne Howes.

The group holds "freedom rallies" on the first Saturday of every month at the same location.

This was the group's first rally of the new year.
