A suspect was taken into custody last night after Santa Maria Police received reports of a man with a gun.
Officers arrested the man after a several-hour search near West Orange Street and South Pine street that had the roads closed.
Police say the man did not have a gun but he was booked for issuing threats and being under the influence of a controlled substance.
Roads reopened last night around 11 p.m.
The Santa Maria Police Department confirmed the man was still in custody as of Sunday afternoon.
