The Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office says its Cannabis Compliance Team busted an illegal cannabis cultivation operation east of Santa Maria.

The operation was reportedly located in the area of Morning Hill Rd. and Dominion Rd., but search warrants were also served at homes in Santa Maria, Nipomo, and Arroyo Grande.

Sheriff's officials say investigators seized hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of illegal cannabis and cannabis-related products being offered for sale.

Approximately 2,800 cannabis plants were eradicated and the sheriff's office says deputies also seized hundreds of pounds of processed cannabis.

Investigators say a butane honey oil lab was also discovered during the search and butane honey oil was seized.

Sheriff's officials say no arrests were made but criminal complaints will be forwarded to the Santa Barbara County District Attorney's Office for review.
