The Swim Paso Association hosted a community outreach meeting Wednesday to discuss the steps that have been taken towards building the Paso Robles Aquatic Complex.
Over the past year, the association has held several community meetings, conducted research on similar projects in the area, and met regularly with the Paso Robles Joint Unified School District to discuss the location and design of the complex.
Swim Paso has also met with state elected officials and explored potential grants for the project.
"The aquatics center is happening, its just a matter of when we are going to be able to get those pools in the ground, its not an if though, the pool project is happening," says board of directors member Jill Ogorsolka.
Swim Paso will also be participating in giving Tuesday, an online fundraising and awareness campaign for the holiday season.
