A second Target store will soon be open in the Santa Barbara area.
The grand opening of the newest store, located at 6865 Hollister Ave. in Goleta, is set for Sunday, Oct. 20.
Target representatives say the approximately 117,000-square-foot store will include a Target Optical, CVS Pharmacy, Starbucks, order pickup and drive up options.
About 200 people will be employed at the new store.
Goleta City Councilmembers got an early look at the store Tuesday afternoon.
Reusable bags will be handed out to the first 1,000 customers on opening day and in-store celebrations will also be taking place.
In April, a small-format Target store opened on State Street in Santa Barbara.
