The Chapman Estate Foundation has appointed Jackie Ratner as its first executive director for the historic Shell Beach property.
Ratner previously worked at Columbia University and brings 15 years of experience to the role.
Her appointment comes as the foundation hosted its annual Swingin' by the Sea fundraiser on Saturday, featuring live music, food, wine, and Central Coast ocean views.
The foundation took over care of the estate from the city of Pismo Beach in 2024.
