No injuries were reported when an Amtrak train collided with a tractor trailer on the tracks north of Guadalupe Wednesday.
The California Highway Patrol was called to the scene on Highway 1 and Thornberry Road at about 3 p.m.
The front and side of the train's engine was visibly damaged and containers on the bed of the big rig, which was hauling produce, had come loose.
The trailer landed in a ditch.
Amtrak officials on scene declined to comment but the train was heading northbound at the time and remained stopped as of 4 p.m.
No other information was immediately available.
