A semi-truck went off the roadway and crashed into a ditch along the westbound side of Highway 46 in the Cholame area Wednesday afternoon.
It happened shortly before 4:30 p.m. near Davis Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol and Caltrans, it's expected to take an extended amount of time to remove the truck and trailer from the ditch.
At least one westbound lane was blocked by first responders, and authorities reported that traffic was backed up in both directions.
