San Luis Obispo County Sheriff's officials say a pickup truck that was stolen during a home invasion robbery in rural San Luis Obispo last weekend was found abandoned at a gas station Wednesday morning in San Jose.

The robbery was reported Saturday afternoon at a home in the 1700 block of O'Connor Way.

The elderly resident told investigators the suspect took cash from inside her home and stole her truck.

Through forensic evidence found at the scene, sheriff's officials say they were able to identify the suspect as Johnny Jesse Roman Jr., 38, of San Luis Obispo.
