Two bicyclists commenced their cross-country journey Saturday morning from East Beach in Santa Barbara to Charleston, South Carolina.
Over the next month and a half, Mike Price and Matt Prather will cycle their way across the U.S. in an effort to raise awareness for wounded veterans and their families through Wounded Warrior Project and the Blue Angels Foundation.
According to Public Relations Specialist Chris Obarski, the cyclists' journey will cover more than 3,000 miles and pass through 11 states.
They plan on ending their journey on Nov. 7, a few days before Veterans Day.
