Central Coast businesses SLO Brew and Taco Works came together to create the perfect beer for game day.

These Central Coast favorites teamed up to create a beer that is infused with tortilla chips.

Taco Works has been a family-owned and operated company on the Central Coast since 1979. SLO Brew opened their doors in 1988, now priding themselves in the many different infusions they've created over the years.

The brewers who created the Tio Rodrigo Taco Works Lager steamed tortilla chips, crafting a light beer with hints of lime zest. A 16 oz. can contains 5.0% ABV.

When asked how it turned out, SLO Brew Co-Owner Rodney Cegelski said, "You know, it turned out awesome. It's one of those 'yum' or 'yuck' choices. It's either going to be delicious or it's going to terrible, but realistically, it turned out incredibly tasty."

This is not SLO Brew's first party-inspired beer infusion. The brewery also makes Tio Rodrigo Micheladas, which have been compared to beer infused with salsa.

The Taco Works Lager can be found at all SLO Brew locations. You can also buy the beer online. A 24-pack runs $65 and the purchase comes with a free 2 oz. bag of Taco Works chips.
