The Santa Barbara County Fire Department, alongside the Carpinteria-Summerland and Montecito Fire Departments, are responding to an ocean rescue off-shore from Carpinteria State Beach.
According to officials, two women in kayaks were reported missing while out on the water Saturday around 3 p.m.
The Santa Barbara County sent a fire captain and team of paramedics on its Fire Copter 3.
Ocean rescue. SBCASU assisting MTO and CRP with ocean rescue of 2 subject off of Carp. Both on outriggers. SBC C3 on scene and located subjects off of Hobsons in VTA County. Shore resources being launched to assist. USCG jointing in rescue while C3 refuels. Call newsline

They flew to the location and located the women near Hobson Beach Park in Ventura County.
Fire Copter 3 hovered overhead and maintained visual of the kayakers, but had to refuel.
Rescue boats have been launched to help the kayakers in distress.
The U.S. Coast Guard is also responding with its resources and air support.
