Santa Barbara County Sheriff's Office Detectives said in a release Friday they are asking for the public's help in investigating Thursday's deadly shooting in Goleta.

Investigators are requesting residents who live within a half-mile of Burtis St. to check their video systems for any suspicious activity between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Thursday.

Sheriff's officials have identified the victims of the shooting.

Officials said in the release the dead victim is a 19-year-old male from the unincorporated area of Santa Barbara.

The surviving victim is a 19-year-old Isla Vista resident in critical but stable condition as of this afternoon.

The suspect is reported to be a male in his early 20's and is still at large, but investigators do not believe the general public is at risk.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Sheriff's Criminal Investigations Bureau at 805-681-4150 or via the anonymous tip line at 805-681-4171.
