Students of all Santa Maria-Bonita School District schools will be able to receive a free meal during a two-hour window Friday.

Thursday evening, school district officials had said meals would not be provided at all Friday.

In a memo sent to families Friday morning, school district officials clarified that meals will be available for all students between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.

The meals will be given out at Santa Maria High School and Pioneer Valley High School.

Meal distribution will resume Monday at a limited number of sites, according to school officials, but no further details were given.

Families are told to check for updates through Parent Square, Facebook or the school district's website.

From Monday to Thursday, the school district report it served more than 30,000 grab & go lunches.

All schools in the district are closed in response to the shelter-at-home order issued with Gov. Gavin Newsom Thursday evening.
