The Hoyt S. Vandenberg Saddle Club hosted its second annual Halloween Schooling Horse Show Sunday.

It is an all-ages event for the public to watch performances and take riding lessons.

The event also featured an exhibition of trick riding and a costume parade for riders and horses.

"Traveling hours to horse shows is expensive, so we're glad to be able to offer these local events for the Central Coast," said Mary Reynolds, the event's coordinator.

The Hoyt S. Vandenberg Saddle Club was established in 1958. Currently, they have 30 members and 40 horses.

The facility sits on over 37 acres of land with ocean views and lakeside trails.

"We want people to see what we have to offer. Being involved with horses is such a great activity for families and individuals," says Reynolds.
